Yes. White and brown noise on the smooth colour slider, steady rain, ocean waves, fan, shush, womb, Baby lock and the sleep timer are free forever, with no time limit. In our 12 countries, your own country's lullaby and sound of home are free too. Nestura Plus adds the full library (pink, green and grey noise, light rain, thunderstorm and much more), mixes of up to five sounds, cry response, Drift, gentle wake and spatial sound.

Plus is yearly (with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers), monthly, or a one-time lifetime purchase. The app shows each price in your currency before you buy. If you start the trial and don't cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the yearly subscription begins and then renews every year until you cancel.

On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Choose Nestura and tap Cancel Subscription. You keep Plus until the end of the period you've paid for.

Apple handles all billing, so we can't cancel or refund for you. To ask Apple for a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com.

Open Nestura on the new device, signed in with the same Apple Account, and tap Restore Purchases in Settings. Plus works with Family Sharing, so the people in your family group get it on their own devices too.

Yes. Every sound is on your iPhone, so it plays in Aeroplane Mode or with no signal. You only need a connection to buy or restore Plus, and for iCloud to sync your saved mixes.

Usually it's one of these:

• The sleep timer ended. The timer is shown under the play button on the Tonight screen.
• Another app started playing sound.
• Your headphones or speaker disconnected. Nestura pauses rather than switching to the iPhone speaker; you can change this in Settings → Audio.
• A call came in. The sound comes back, with a fade, when the call ends.

If none of these fits, write to us with your iPhone model and iOS version.

Yes. Turn on Settings → Audio → Play alongside other apps.

Yes. Gentle wake (Plus) sets a real alarm through iOS, so it rings at your wake time even if Nestura was closed. Over the 15 minutes before it, the night sound slowly turns into birdsong. Nestura asks for permission to set alarms the first time you use it.

Ask Siri to play a sound in Nestura, or use Nestura's actions in the Shortcuts app. To start your mix whenever Sleep Focus turns on, open Nestura's Settings → Siri & Shortcuts and set up the automation in one tap.

Cry response (Plus) listens for crying while a baby sound plays, using Apple's sound recognition on your iPhone. When it hears crying for a few seconds, it gently raises the shushing, then eases back once things are quiet. The sound is never recorded, stored or sent.

It's a soothing aid, not a baby monitor: it doesn't alert you and isn't a safety device.

For the best results, play through a separate speaker, or keep the phone's volume low, so it can hear your baby over its own sound.

That's iOS showing that the microphone is on. You'll see it while cry response is listening. Turn cry response off in the Baby tab and the dot goes away.

Keep the volume low and put the phone well away from the cot, at about 2 metres, never inside it. Baby mode has a lower maximum volume for this reason, and you can lower it further in Settings → Baby.

Nestura follows your iPhone's language. To use a different language just for Nestura, open the Settings app on your iPhone, go to Apps → Nestura → Language.

Yes. Nestura runs on iPad. The Apple Watch app is a remote: play, pause, choose a mix and set the timer, while the sound plays from your iPhone.

In the mix editor, tap Share. Your friend gets a nestura.app link that opens the mix in Nestura, or points them to the App Store if they don't have it yet.

In Nestura, go to Settings → Privacy and switch off Share anonymous usage. Everything keeps working the same. More in our privacy policy.
